O Global Media Journal

Prvé číslo Global Media Journal, ktorého cieľom je skúmať̌ svet komunikácie, vyšlo online na jeseň̌ 2002. Odvtedy sa táto publikácia etablovala ako akademický žurnál pre študentov, učiteľov, výskumníkov a inštitúcie na medzinárodnej úrovni v odbore komunikácie a mediálnych štúdií. Slovenské vydanie je v tlačenom aj online vydaní a je posudzované recenzentmi.
Global Media Journal publikuje práce, ktoré analyzujú existujúce mediálne štruktúry a prax v otázkach ako mediálna koncentrácia, globalizácia mediálnych žánrov, globálne médiá a konzumentská masová kultúra, úloha médií v demokratickej spoločnosti a spravodlivosti, propaganda, vnímanie a sledovanie médií, kultúra, komercializácia, správy, žurnalistika, nové mediálne technológie, mediálna regulácia, regionálne médiá, alternatívne médiá, reklama, marketingová komunikácia, politická komunikácia a kampane, žurnalistika, správy a samozrejme mnohé iné otázky súčasného sveta médií.

Global Media Journal má sieť̌ nezávislých vydaní, celkovo 19: africké, americké, arabské (online a tlač̌), austrálske, brazílske, kanadské (po anglicky a po francúzsky), čínske (online aj tlač̌), nemecké, indické, malajzijské, stredomorské, mexické, pakistanské, perzské, poľské, portugalské, ruské, slovenské a turecké.

About Global Media Journal

The first issue of Global Media Journal, devoted to exploring the world of communication, was launched online in fall of 2002. Since then, this global publication has steadily and firmly established itself as a journal to address diverse interests of students, teachers, scholars, researchers, and institutions, in the field communications and media studies.

Global Media Journal publishes works that assess existing media structures and practices, such as media concentration (global and regional), globalization of media genres, global media, consumer culture, the role of media in democratic governance and justice, propaganda, media reception and cultural practice, commercialization of news, new media technologies, media regulations, regional media, alternative media, advertising, marketing communications, political communications and campaigns, journalism, news other timely issues from the world of media.

Global Media Journal has established a remarkable network of independent editions, 19 altogether: African, American, Arabian (in print and online), Australian, Brazilian, Canadian (in English and French), Chinese (in print and online), German, Indian, Malaysian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Pakistan, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak and Turkish.

Pokyny pre autorov

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

All scholarly articles should adhere to the following submission guidelines:

  1. Articles and essays must follow the referencing manual ISO 690 with the in text citations (not footnotes). See the template for the required formal guidelines.
  2. Although there is no absolute limit on length, submitted papers should be confined to approximately 7000 words.
  3. Authors are expected to carefully proofread their work before submission.
  4. Articles that do not conform to the stated submission guideline will be returned to author/s for revisions.
  5. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permission from copyright holders for reproducing previously published material, including charts, graphs, photos, tables, etc.
  6. Manuscripts must be submitted to the Editor electronically via email (globalmediajournal@paneurouni.com) in Microsoft Word.
  7. Scholarly articles will go through a blind peer review process prior to publication. In case that the submitted article needs any revisions to be done, it will be send back to the author to make corrections according to comments of the reviewer.
  8. Authors should not submit their articles to more than one edition of GMJ simultaneously.
  9. Please respect the deadline for the submission of the paper. There is no guarantee that the paper will be published if it will not be send within the deadline.
