Through its activities, the Research and Development Center ensures the implementation of one of the key pillars of higher education—scientific research and scholarly activity. It initiates, coordinates, and provides methodological support for research, and in cooperation with the faculties carries out scientific and research activities in line with the long-term strategic objectives of Pan-European University.

The priority of Pan-European University in the field of science and research is to develop knowledge in accredited fields of study through the implementation of basic and applied research, thereby building a modern research and innovation-oriented institution.

In 2024, the Centre for Research and Development was established. The Centre coordinates research activities at Pan-European University and provides methodological support for the research activities of its faculties. The priorities of the CRD include identifying opportunities for the implementation of multidisciplinary research, supporting the creation of multidisciplinary research teams at Pan-European University, and fostering international research partnerships.

Based on implemented scientific projects with internationally recognized outputs and positive feedback at the national level, and in line with its institutional social responsibility, Pan-European University has identified priority research areas in which it intends to further develop scientific knowledge and apply the acquired findings in practice.

The results of research and scientific activities are presented to academics, students, and the general public through the organization of scientific events, science popularization activities, and through the continuous innovation of the content of accredited study programmes.
A separate and important focus is the strengthening of research and scientific capacities in society and the development of early-career researchers. Pan-European University supports the involvement of students at all levels of study in scientific, research, and artistic activities and further develops its doctoral collage.
