New Trends in Thermal Phases of QCD
Pan-European University, Tomášikova 20, Bratislava, Slovakia May 7-11 2026
The Narrative:
The experimental discovery of near-perfect fluidity in hot strongly-interacting matter on one side, and key developments concerning the lattice treatment of chirality on the other, brought together a very focused group of researchers in the spring of 2023 with the aim to rethink the basics of thermal QCD in this light. The long-term goal of the ensuing series of workshops “New Trends in Thermal Phases of QCD” is to promote and facilitate a focused effort to identify and understand, from the first principles, the nature of all thermal states existing in QCD.
The third in this series of workshops will again bring together researchers working in the areas of infrared (IR) phase in QCD, Anderson-like localization in QCD, restoration of UA(1) anomaly in QCD and other related topics. In-depth open discussions concerning the current status of these efforts and setting future directions are planned.
